Sharing with teammates
To share a project with your teammates in a shared workspace, simply provide them with the project URL. There are two ways to obtain the project URL:
Copy it from the browser's URL bar.
Open a project, click the share button, and copy the URL from the bottom of the modal.
ℹ️ Note that this URL-based sharing method only works among teammates within a shared workspace. Your teammates must also be logged in to access the project.
Sharing with the public
You can make any project in Fable public, allowing anyone with the link to view the project. Currently, public links only provide permissions for reviewing and remixing.
To make your project shareable via a public link, follow these steps:
Open a project.
Click the Share button located in the top right corner.
Toggle the switch at the bottom of the Project Sharing modal to make the project public.
Copy and share the project's URL with anyone you want.
Public URL sharing is an efficient way to share your project with others when security is not a concern. The people you share the link with won't need a Fable account to view the project, but they will need to have an account and be logged in to export it.
If you no longer want your project's URL to be public, you can turn off public access by following these steps:
Click the "Share" button located in the top right corner.
Toggle the "public" switch off.
Sharing with a guest
Sometimes, you may want to share a project with a specific individual without inviting them to your team or making the project public. In such situations, you can invite the person to a specific project.
To share a Fable project with someone who is not a member of your workspace, follow these steps:
Open the project.
Click the "Share" button located in the top right corner.
On the Project Sharing modal, enter the email address of the person you want to share with.
Select the access you want to grant the person you're sharing with
Click the "Invite" button.
The person you invite will receive an email invitation to access the project. Once they accept the invite, they will see the project in the "Shared with me" folder on their sidebar.
When you invite someone to a specific project instead of inviting them as a team member, they are added as a "guest."
